elseco, the tech specialist MGA, bolsters its space team

elseco has announced a series of new appointments to further expand its leadership, risk analysis, and modelling capabilities within the space insurance arm of the MGA.
Despite already employing the largest space underwriting team of the market, elseco continues to follow its motto “go beyond” by expanding its capabilities to analyze, adapt, and proactively support rapid changes occurring in the industry. This translates into the appointment of two space insurance experts, Laurent Esquirol and Ludovic Arnoux, in addition to the recent increase of its data science team to seven individuals.
Ludovic Arnoux joins the elseco team in March 2023 as Client Advocate and Launch System Technical Advisor.
Ludovic has extensive experience in space engineering and space insurance underwriting. Holding a post-graduate engineering degree, Ludovic initially spent 9 years working as electrical specialist engineer and satellite integration manager for the launcher operator Arianespace. He then held positions as senior space underwriter and Global Head of Aerospace Risk Consulting at AGCS, prior to creating his consulting company providing risk management and insurance consultancy services to a wide range of international customers.
Laurent Esquirol will join the elseco group in April 2023 as Group Space Risks Technical Director.
Laurent joins elseco with a strong space industry and insurance market background. Most recently, Laurent was head of Space for Tokio Marine Kiln in Paris and before that Senior Space underwriter with Scor. During the first part of his career, Laurent worked with Thales Alenia Space as a Telecom satellite system engineer. Laurent holds a French Aerospace engineering degree (MEng).
