elseco adds weight to its aviation division with new head

elseco continues to grow its foothold in aviation with the hire of industry veteran Alain Burguiere as its new Head of Aviation.
elseco has appointed Alain Burguiere as its Head of Aviation. Alain, who joined elseco in October 2021, brings 30 years of experience of underwriting to the company. For the past 18 months, he has proven himself invaluable in strengthening the underwriting activity of the aviation division of elseco. As Head of Aviation, Alain is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the company's aviation strategy to become one of the recognised market leaders. In doing so, Alain consistently cooperates and interacts with elseco's members and brokers to provide bespoke solutions for clients, leveraging the latest technologies and data analytics to optimize risk assessment and pricing.
Previously, Alain held various positions such as Chief Underwriting Officer at La Reunion Aerienne, Catlin Syndicate (now XL Catlin), and more recently AXA XL where he was in charge of Asia, Africa, and South and Central America.
